Synopsis: “A strong heroine, an Archangel, and the beginning of a plot that will rock the human world and the supernatural alike.
This is not a story about a damsel in distress. Jade has dedicated her entire life to find the murderers of her parents and destroy them. When she meets Michael the Archangel after a fight in a club parking lot her world turns upside down and she discovers that her true destiny is tied to his in ways that she can't deny.
When Michael's world invades Jade's life and puts her in the path of danger she finds help in an unlikely ally and she will have to find ways to protect them all and the strength to stand alone in the face of all evil or doom them all.”

I received a free copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.
I found the first 7 chapters quite wishy-washy and constantly kept theorizing how Jade fits in with the prologue. There was a sex scene in chapter 8 I believe, which I found quite jarring and a surprise (I became a little embarrassed when reading on the bus). The fact that this enabled the Angel to heal Jade was explained afterwards but it had already got my back up. I really didn't like Michael's character and thought he had a bit of a Christian Grey thing going on, which wasn't my cup of tea. I did think Jade's character changed when she met Michael, and not for the better as she had appeared to be this very strong independent character and it seemed to me that her dialogue was saying that she didn't want to belong to Michael etc, but her actions were saying quite the opposite.
Some irritating editing issues, such as the frequent use of i lower case. Also, commas and full stops had a space either side e.g. lots of pizza , pasta. Also some spelling errors such as "wile" instead of while which didn't seem to fit the usual British v American spelling discrepancy. There were a lot of spelling mistakes and instances of the wrong tens being used. This did disrupt the reading somewhat, but isn't anything a really good edit wouldn't solve.
Despite the editing errors and me not getting on with this, I would definitely recommend Destiny to readers who enjoy reading about the supernatural and paranormal romance. I am very pernickety and so the editing issues were a big thing for me, but I'm sure there are plenty of readers who would merit this on the story alone and who would love it!
