I came across this by accident while trawling Amazon for cheap kindle books one night and was so glad I did.

The One was so well written, with the suspense building up perfectly throughout the novel. Pretty much each chapter ended with a cliff-hanger, which meant I had to wait another 4 chapters (albeit relatively short) and read about each of the other 4 characters in turn before picking up where the cliff-hanger left me.

Good ending, to which the suspense had been building towards throughout the latter section of the book. Although the revelations were only apparent in the sections of story relevant to Ellie, they had clear ramifications for all of the other characters. So well written and intricately planned with the twists uncurling brilliantly. I would read other books by John Marrs without a doubt.
