Published: August 2016 Synopsis: "Happiness seems like a universal desire - lots of people are searching for it, and few really find it. The 7 Secrets of Happiness gives you a clear map for the journey. With simple and powerful life strategies you can easily incorporate into your everyday life to feel more fulfilled, less anxious, and happier! This book represents many of the current happiness studies and the wisdom of the ages, organizing them in one place pragmatically, attractively and in an original presentation so that you "get" it differently. It's a quick, easy and full of solid material that can be applied immediately." Rating: *** I received a free copy of this in exchange for an honest review. I'm not a big fan of self-help books, but I did enjoy this. It was laid out simply (although there were some formatting errors), with easy to understand language. A good mixture of paragraphs, bullet points and use of italics. There were some clickable links to other works by the author, which I felt was a unneeded plug. Interesting mix of philosophy, some religious anecdotes and what seemed to be to me some CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy). A relatively short read, but with some insightful and helpful quotes.
